Free for Commercial Use: A Web Application Platform Without Hidden Limits

Free does not have to mean restricted. We offer a long-term web application platform that supports commercial use, custom domains, HTTPS, and protects live content from sudden shutdowns due to quotas.

Free for Commercial Use: A Web Application Platform Without Hidden Limits

Free for Commercial Use: Our Product Principles

When designing Pageface, we have consistently followed a principle that may not seem particularly “clever” at first glance:

If an application is created by the user, it should truly belong to the user.

For this reason, from the very beginning we decided that even the free plan should be allowed for real commercial use.

Free should not just be another word for “trial”

On many platforms, “free” often comes with a long list of conditions:

  • Limited to non-commercial use
  • Mandatory platform branding
  • No support for custom domains
  • Key capabilities heavily restricted

These limitations are not unusual, but they send a clear signal: users at this stage are not treated as long-term users.

We do not agree with this approach.

Commercial use should not be a “right unlocked after upgrading”

In our view, as long as you are seriously building your own application, it should come with full basic freedoms.

That is why, even on the free plan, you can still:

  • Use a custom domain
  • Enable HTTPS / SSL
  • Use your application for commercial projects
  • Avoid displaying any mandatory platform branding or links

This is not a special exception, but a fundamental decision about product boundaries:

A platform should not interfere with how users present their own applications.

We deliberately avoid turning “free” into a risk

When choosing a platform, what many users truly worry about is not whether the features are sufficient, but a more practical concern:

What happens if one day I exceed the quota—will the entire site suddenly become inaccessible?

With this concern in mind, we made a very deliberate choice in how quotas are designed.

Even when the usage limit of the free plan is reached, applications that are already live will not be taken offline immediately.

You may temporarily lose access to the backend for further changes, but the frontend pages will remain accessible.

This is a decision made from the user’s perspective

We are well aware that content accumulation and digital marketing are long-term processes.

Whether it is SEO, search engine indexing, or the authority built by existing content, all of these take time. If pages suddenly become inaccessible due to quota limits, previous investments can lose their value very quickly.

This kind of risk should not be passed on to users.

That is why, in our design:

  • Frontend pages are not forcibly shut down due to quota limits
  • Search engines can continue to access and index content normally
  • Existing marketing and content results are not abruptly interrupted

Whether to expand, upgrade, or adjust the pace should be a decision made by the user—not something pushed by the platform.

Free is a choice about relationships

We do not see “free” itself as a competitive tactic.

What matters more is this: when users start investing time, content, and real business, is the platform standing on the same side?

We want to offer a relationship that people can confidently start with:

  • You can begin for free
  • You can use it directly for commercial projects
  • You do not have to worry about suddenly losing control of your application

When you truly need more capabilities, you can choose to subscribe.

This is a choice based on trust, not a transaction driven by pressure.

This is a product stance we hold long term

These rules were not designed to maximize short-term conversion.

More importantly, when an application starts here, can it be:

  • Treated seriously
  • Used over the long term
  • Safely invested in real business scenarios

Free and commercially usable is not a feature—it is one of the core product principles we consistently uphold.
